Convert everyday measurements with fixed conversion factors for length, mass, area, volume, and speed. Temperature uses an offset as well as a scale factor, so it is handled separately. Volume labels specify US gallons and US fluid ounces; imperial liquid measures are different and are not included. Results are displayed to 12 significant digits.

A useful tip
Check the unit label before using the result. A fluid ounce measures volume while an ounce in the Mass category measures mass; converting between them requires a material’s density.

Are negative temperatures supported?
Yes, down to absolute zero: −273.15°C, −459.67°F, or 0 K. Lower temperatures are rejected.
Does it convert currencies?
No. Currency values require changing exchange-rate data. This tool uses fixed physical-unit relationships and needs no external data service.
