Page numbers make an unnumbered report easier to reference. Numbers follow document order starting at your chosen number, and only selected pages receive a mark. Existing printed numbers remain, so choose an empty area to avoid covering other content.
A practical example
Number an unnumbered report from 1 at the bottom of each page. If it continues another document, choose the next starting number instead.
A useful tip
If the first sheet is a cover, deselect it. The first selected page receives your starting number.
